Anyway.
I'm still working as a bartender. And educating myself to be better about it too, althought my school is already almost over. But it's those kind of jobs where you can always be a lot better, so I'm happy I started this carreer. Never felt better, to be honest; it's hard and exhausting sometimes, but also so rewarding. Also I am learning a lot more about many common things; it's not just selling. I can see things so many different ways. One point I wrote that when you are a guide, you learn to see the world throught thousands of eyes. I think it applies to bartending as well, and the people you meet are totally amazing!
So, other thing. School. It has given me another pespectives to the work, I have learned to be faster, I remember drinks and I know much more techniques than before. I have so much more basic inforation now, and it has given me the oppoturnity to be more involved in barstuff such as theme parties, private parties, bands and so on. Also I have learned to stand my ground a little bit; nowdays I don't do things like a machine, but I can put more of my heart and feelings into it. And most importantly, I have learned to give reasons why I do things my way, which helps my co-workers understand me better. So I have a lot more in my pockets than what I started with. It's still a rocky road, but now I have more tools to use to climb it with. And I have an awesome dreamteam at work with!
I still have the passion to go back to Lapland and be a guide, but it has evolved into something I want to do when I am older. Just like I still dream of becoming a writer and involving myself with much more literature. I have actually been reading more, I had few years when I simply didn't have time to read. But now I am much more better at organizing my time.
I stopped smoking. Or technically I still vape, but I have so much less nicotine in my liquids than in a real deal, so it's a little bit healthier (I'm waiting for the summertime to really see how much better I can breathe!).
Also I want to start sharing my photos. It's a kind of new passion to me, I bought my very own camera on my vacation in German in February, and I have been using it from time to time. So I will be evolving this blog to mainly photography, I'm trying to see if a photo can reall tell thousand stories, from a writers point of view.
So that's what's happening. See you soon I guess!
