What about what now?

This is what happened (or actually what is happening) after my previous blog. I loved writing down everything I could remember and that's actually the only reason why this blog was born.

My previous blog was started for my schoolwork when I was training to become festival assistant and I didn't have the heart to delete it, so it also became my blog for later schoolwork about learning travelling. It also has some more personal posts about places and my work as bartender.

And as the name says, it's time to put my leather jacket blog behind (I still wear leather jackets tought) and turn a new leaf; changes are that from now on I'm writing in English and this blog is much more personal, more me and less school or work (even tought work is life and I won't stop learning until I die...).

So before you bore to death; hello new readers and (short of) welcome back older ones. My name is Hanna and I will be your future guide. To keep my mind steady I have my cat Kingi and sudokus ready for what's going to happen.

Have a BMW weekend!

I travelled to coast of Finland, to Turku last weekend. I needed a pause from things I know and so I found myself in a meeting for BMW cars on Saturday and seeing them on a racetrack. All I can say that it's a hobby, that I don't compleatly understand, but the thirst for the speed is something that I can really relate to.

What I understood, it's about repairing them since some of those cars break all the time. About building them to be better, more suitable for the driver. Or as a fun to put together and after few rides, sold to a new owner.

On Saturday we went all around, driving with dozen ohter cars as a line. It was pretty cool to see so many cars, all a bit different from another but still from the same brand. So we kind of drove around, stopping from time to time and after the last stop some of them started burning their tires. They are like any other group; doing things together to feel connected and accepted. Comparing cars and using their knowledge.

And on Sunday I saw them on the racingtrack; better yet, I got to go on so called landview-ride (max speed 80 km/h). It was pretty cool also. They drove in two groups, fast and slow. Then again, it wasn't that clear who belonged in which groups... But people still managed to do so; beginners and not that powerfull cars were "slow" and more talented, with specially modified cars were "fast".

Few cars/drivers caught my eye of interest. One of them was the fastest of the fast ones, blue colored and modified to the extreme with a big spoiler, simply by glancing it you could tell it was made for the track. It looked amazing and it had a story of being a normal car, so that car was like a superhero of the cars; modified to be on the track. Or atleast it was to my newbie-eyes, like I'd know anything about cars.

Also they gave permission for a Nascar-car to drive among the fast cars and it was beautiful. It sounded like the monster, like it was in it's blood- I mean oil- to make every single ones hearts beat like a carnival does to it's prey. The voice, the looks, everything about theat car was so beautiful.

And then there was the guy with a OK-car. It wasn't about the car, but the way he drove, he was one of the best drivers I have seen. Don't get me wrong; I have seen really good drivers, I know some also, but he was really good.

To kind of wrap it up, I had a blast. It was really interesting, altought I know nothing about cars. That kind of hobby isn't a hobby of mine, but I can sort of understand atleast a little. And I really recomend that if you do something you have no idea what it is, go with an open mind. Ask even the stupidest guestions you can imagine, because you can find yourself enjoying it with all of your heart.
